What is a Certified Pedorthist?

A Certified Pedorthist is a specialist who is educated and trained in the art and science of constructing and fitting shoes and inserts (orthotics) that assure comfort, support and protection for people diagnosed with diabetic foot problems.

To become board certified the Pedorthist must pass examinations showing complete knowledge of the musculoskeletal anatomy, biomechanics and pathology of the feet. Only then can they add “C.Ped” after their names and professionally fit and fabricate custom shoes and inserts to meet your needs.
